The Theory test and hazard perception
The Theory test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions taken from a question bank of 1000. To pass you must answer at least 43 of the 50 correctly within a time limit of 57 minutes.
If you are dyslexic or have reading difficulties an audio version is available.
The Hazard Perception Test
After a short break the Hazard Perception Test will last 15 minutes, you will be shown 14 clips and you must spot the moving developing hazard, one clip has 2 hazards.
Before you start you will be shown a tutorial video giving examples on how they want you to complete the test.
Training at Adairs
We use a variety of study materials – Apps, Books, Mock papers etc. Your instructor will advise you how to use the study materials effectively.

You can book the Theory test over the telephone on 0300 200 1122. Payment can be made by credit card, the cardholder must be present, and they will need your driver number from your provisional driving licence.
Your instructor will be happy to arrange this for you.
