Newly qualified drivers are much more vulnerable than they realise. Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident within their first two years of driving than at any other time in their driving career. In their first year of driving, one driver in five is involved in a crash.
The aim of pass plus is to enable the new driver to develop their existing skills, acquire new skills and knowledge that make up positive driving, further develop anticipation skills, plan for and deal with hazards safely and understand how to reduce their risk of having a crash as a consequence after completing the course it entitles you to cheaper car insurance from participating companies
The course comprises of six modules.
- Town driving.
- Rural driving.
- All weather driving.
- Night driving.
- Dual carriageways.
- Motorway driving.
You pay £210.00 for the complete course and will take a minimum of six hours to complete.
You do not have to sit a test . Once the pupil achieves or exceeds the required standard of driving the DSA will issue a certificate that the pupil may use to qualify for a discount on their premium with their chosen participating insurer.
